A24 Confirm Talk To Me Sequel In the Works
The appropriately titled, Talk 2 Me, has been confirmed to be in the works and will serve as a sequel to the latest A24 horror offering.
The Philippou brothers will return to helm the sequel.
Talk To Me is said to be the scariest film released by A24.
The hit supernatural horror film released last month follows a group of teens as they peer-pressured each other into letting spirits possess their bodies for 90 seconds. However, things took a bloody turn when Mia, (Sophie Wilde), attempted to reach out to the spirit of her dead mother unsupervised.
The Australian film premiered at Sundance Film Festival and has since received rave reviews. Danny and Michael Philippou starred and directed the thriller. Talk To Me is also their feature debut. They will return to helm the sequel, with Bill Hinzman joining Danny Philippou to write the screenplay.
Talk To Me garnered $22M at the box office yesterday stateside and is one of the studio’s highest-grossing horror pics of all time.
