Will.i.am Says Britney Spears’s Next Release Is Going to Be “Earth Shattering”

Will.i.am talked about his experience working with Britney Spears, revealing that she’s full of ideas and teasing her future releases to be “earth shattering.”

It seems that fans could expect some new releases from the princess of pop in the near future.

Will.i.am and Britney Spears have worked together on a handful of songs in the past, including their chart-topping single, “Scream and Shout” in 2012. Speaking with TMZ, Will.i.am said that working with the princess of pop on their latest single “Mind Your Business is “freakin crazy.”

“I can tell you this from experience, the fine-tuning of ‘Mind Your Business,’ she sent over some ideas, like ‘Hey, put this on it,’ and then I’m like, ‘Yo Britney, this idea that you just gave right there is actually a new song and this is freakin crazy!’” said the singer/producer.

He mentioned that Spears might be “sitting on a plethora of songs” already. In fact, their latest “Mind Your Business” was originally released back in 2013, but the song was brought to life only recently.

“She had ideas and an idea factory. I can only imagine that Britney is sitting on a plethora of songs that she has done with different producers. I am pretty sure that her and Pharrell have stuff that is unreleased,” said the Black Eyed Peas frontman. “No artist that is that prolific, that is an ideation machine, doesn’t have a plethora of stuff.”

The producer and singer trusted that the next releases from Spears will be impactful. “The moment she goes to a studio and focuses on a record, you know it’s going to be earth shattering. It’s going to be earth shattering because there is not that many people that have been through what she has been through that are going to help folks who are in similar situations.”

“Maybe she’s going to want to dig in the past or maybe, just maybe she would want to start fresh but whatever it is, it is going to be amazing. I know it.”

“Mind Your Business” is the second song featured Spears since her conservatorship ended in 2021. Earlier this month, she announced that she’ll be releasing her long-waited memoir The Woman In Me, sharing her story with the world after over a decade of silence.
