The Killers Continues “Boy” Songline in New Single “Your Side of Town”

The Killers “Your Side of Town”

The Killers have been staying quiet since last year’s “boy,” but not anymore. Now, they have officially returned with a new single. “Your Side of Town,” produced by the band with Stuart Price and Shawn Everette, is a continuation of “boy.” And maybe, just maybe, both will end up on an LP together.

It’s all about picking up where it left off, no matter how long time has passed. The rock giants have long teased their 8th album even back in 2021 when they released Pressure Machine. They said that “eight would probably relate more to six,” and “eight would be not cutting room floor or orphan songs from Imploding The Mirage, but it would be picking up where from where that left off.” While the songs are taking the time to find their new home, “Your Side of Town” surely found “boy.”

The synth-heavy single celebrates the music that inspired The Killers to create while taking a form of their own. “Hello, everyone, with much excitement we present to you Your Side of Town. It’s got the ghosts of a lot of the synth music that inspired us over the years. And yet, somehow, feels completely our own. Now it’s yours. Turn it up!” The Killers wrote on Instagram.

The band is playing a headline show at the Leeds festival, along with Billie Eilish, The 1975, Sam Fender, and more. They will be playing the Main Stage East for one and a half hours on Sunday night shortly after The 1975. Fans can expect to hear hits like “When You Were Young” and “All These Things That I’ve Done” during their set, as well as the band’s indie disco staple, “Mr. Brightside.”
