Guns N’ Roses To Release “The General” Following “Perhaps”
The rock veterans are coming with another official release from the vault. “The General” is set to be the R-side of the 7-inch vinyl version of “Perhaps,” which will be released on Oct. 26. Pre-orders are available exclusively on the band’s website.
Like the G-side, “The General” can be traced back to the band’s Chinese Democracy era. Over the years, the band has been known to play the track live on tour.
Last Friday (Aug. 18), Guns N’ Roses delivered a live debut of “Perhaps” the same day it was released at the PNC Park in Pittsburgh. “Forgive me if I don’t run around and try to project as much because I’m gonna try to figure out how to f*cking sing it live,” said the frontman Axl Rose as he introduced the track. “I like to think of when we wrote this song it was like the immaculate inception.”
However, it’s still up in the air whether “The General” will receive a global digital release like the G-side. The band’s manager Fernando Lebeis responded to a fan on Reddit with a vaguely, “Perhaps.”
