Blink-182 Reveal New LP ‘One More Time…’ in 12 Years

The wait is almost over. Blink-182 has announced the release date and tracklist of their reunion album. Titled One More Time…, the trio’s first new album in 12 years is set to release on Oct. 20. A new song is also said to arrive this Thursday, Sept. 21 at 10:00 ET.

The news came via a four-minute video trailer uploaded by the group on Monday. Bassist/singer Mark Hoppus, guitarist Tom Delonge, and drummer Travis Barker sat down with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe and discussed the trauma and chaos that gave birth to the band known as Blink-182.

“We didn’t come out of joyous homes. We came from a lot of heartbreak, broken families, fist fights. Blink was always a way to force the happiness in the room,” recalled DeLonge when he and Hoppus started the band. Things really began to take off when Barker joined, but then the downside of fame took a run for the worst. Eventually, DeLonge decided to leave the band.

“There was a lot of bad blood, stuff in the press, feelings, and all that stuff,” Hoppus talked about the press pile-on and the hurt feelings around Delonge’s departure from the band in 2015. The guitarist went on to find new meanings in life beyond music.

“I remember telling my wife like, I don’t think I’m ever gonna play music again and I’m never gonna tour again until Mark told me that he was sick,” DeLonge recalled learning the news about the bassist’s battle with blood cancer diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Then playing music was the “only thing” he “wanted to do.”

Hoppus eventually won his battle in April 2022 when he announced that he was cancer-free, but after going through near-death experiences and catastrophes, Barker dived into the question of “why does it take these catastrophes like me being in a plane crash or Mark being sick for our band to get back together?” He was in a plane crash in 2008 that critically injured his friend DJ AM and killed four passengers. Even though he knew that their “brotherhood wouldn’t ever deteriorate,” they spent many years apart than together.

The trio recorded ONE MORE TIME… during their 2023 reunion tour which kicked off at Coachella Festival in April. The album is produced by Barker and features 17 new songs thatcapture the band at the top of their game, layering in themes of tragedy, triumph and most importantly, brotherhood.”

ONE MORE TIME… tracklist includes “Anthem Part 3,” “Dance With Me,” “Fell in Love,” “Terrified,” “One More Time,” “More Than You Know,” “Turn This Off!,” “When We Were Young,” “Edging,” “You Don’t Know What You’ve Got,” “Blink Wave,” “Bad News,” “Hurt (Interlude),” “Turpentine” “Fuck Face,” “Other Side,” and“Childhood.”

So far, they have previewed “Edging,” which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart in November. A new song will drop on Thursday.
