New Guns N’ Roses Single “Perhaps” Will Reportedly Arrive on Friday
After much speculation, Guns N’ Roses is reportedly dropping a previously unreleased single “Perhaps” this Friday, Aug. 11.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for new materials after overhearing the members rehearsing the said track before their set in Tel Aviv. Although there are currently no official announcements from the band, a pre-save link showed up briefly on the Universal Music website, announcing its arrival.
Earlier last month, long-time manager Tom Mayhue revealed the rock veterans’ plans to release new and old materials. “In fact, I think they’re trying to get a single out any day now,” said the manager. He also teased new materials may have a nostalgic flair of Appetite For Destruction.
“I know that the band’s gonna start working on new music. They’ve got a bunch of stuff recorded already. So there will be new Guns N’ Roses music very soon,” said Mayhue. “In fact, I think they’re trying to get a single out any day now, so you may hear something very, very soon… It sounds great. It’s a lot more kind of ‘Appetite-orientated.”
“Perhaps” was recorded during the sessions from the Guns N’ Roses’ last full-length album Chinese Democracy in 2008. Though they have never officially released the single, a rough demo version of the song was leaked and uploaded on YouTube.
