Small dogs is an ethnomusicologist as well as a musician who has lived in London, East Africa, and New York. His unique personal experience in the different continents has translated into the groovy mixture of imagery and adventure, becoming a part of his sound.

“Vieques & Dark Rum” features Costa Rican American singer Kelly Vargas’s smokey, saucy voice in an illuminating skyscape. Accompanied by inspired Afrobeat, it interacts with the sonics in an entrancing way.
