Render Ghosts is a London/Utrecht trio of diverse musical backgrounds. Tamara van Esch is a well-known singer-songwriter from Netherland, whose multi-instrumental talents can be heard on bands, such as Jo Goes Hunting, Drive Like Maria, and Kim Janssen.

Tom O.C Wilson is a classically-trained chamber pop composer, while sound designer and music tech personality Iain Chambers finds his passion in turning buildings into instruments.

Render Ghosts serves a unique melting point where their diverse sounds and sonic visions come together and shine vibrantly, effortlessly, communicating a new creation through melodic alternative soundscapes. Render Ghosts invites you into their otherworldly imaginative world of sounds.

The sophomore release “Keeping My Number” follows Render Ghosts’ energetic footstep and steps into a room swirling lighthearted colors. Woozy melodies and breathable skyscapes gently sweep you off your feet, while Tamara’s exotic vocal reminds you of the wonderful sunshine in an urban afternoon. Even the touch of melancholy and nostalgia has light and softness in its texture.

It’s hard not like this release from Render Ghosts. Inspired by Dua Lipa, Alex Hosking, and Jax Jones during the song’s creative process, “Keep My Number” has absorbed the sparks and catchiness of iconic pop phantoms.

Although spirited and sassy, the song revolves around a burnt-out relationship, where the spark has gone. The main character tries to open her ex’s eyes to see the relationship is truly over, which translated into the bittersweet taste in its sonic palette.
