EDDZ On the Making Of “EC_ET”

Can you share any interesting or unique stories or perspectives in "EC_ET?"

EC_ET is about the demise of our local towns and cities. Regardless of where you visit, they are all generally run down and appear all the same. Initially, I thought this was just a local issue, but after gigging across the UK, you realise Northampton is not unique with this problem. The powers from above are not willing to support, help, or improve local areas, be it for the greater good.

Were there any memorable or standout moments during the recording sessions for "EC_ET?”

During one session, we experimented with creating bizarre sounds to incorporate into the song. We had no barriers to what we used to create these sounds; the outcome helped with the finished track.

What do you like the best about this track?

I enjoyed exploring the dance / electronic sounds for this single. It was not something I had ventured into before. By working with Joshua Guy it has opened my eyes up more to these genres. I certainly would like to incorporate this again in future releases.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got started in music?

I am a 23-year-old musician/songwriter from Northampton, UK.
I have been a strong lover of music from a young age.
Throughout my teens, I was part of a couple of bands playing guitar and singing with people from Northampton. Eddz is a solo project I started in 2021. It has been a fantastic journey so far; Eddz will keep evolving, and, I look forward to where this journey takes me next.

Are there any specific themes or messages that you aim to convey through your music?

I always want my music to be something people can relate to, especially on issues that affect most of us on a daily basis. Making that connection with the listener is a significant part of the Eddz project.
