Don Josef On the Making Of “Paris”

Can you share any interesting or unique musical elements or production techniques used in "Paris?"

I have drawn inspiration from the legendary Edith Piaf, whose 1951 classic “Sous le ciel de Paris” influenced this song. Combining it with my unique rnb style really made this track stand out.

How did you work with the producer or engineers to bring your vision for "Paris" to life?

The whole process took place in a short amount of time when I and Rich (producer) found our working vibe. It was like the puzzle solved itself when the vocals were added. We figured each layer to its place. And the mastering was done by Cosmos mastering who did a great job.

What has been one of your favorite memories along the path to making "Paris?"

I will say my favorite memory is the day when I found combining the two languages (English and French) and including an homage to Paris.

Can you tell us more about you as an artist?

My Journey has just begun and I am embarking myself on a mission to give the audience even more captivating music along the way. My music is inspired by my own roots, the Roma people, which brings a lot of soul, RnB and jazz elements as well into the mix.

Are there any genres or styles you'd like to explore in the future?

Yes absolutely! I have already lined up some singles due to release in the near future, that immerse itself in genres of pop, dark pop and reggae. Stay tuned!
