Bahadur On the Making Of ‘Rebirth’

Can you share any interesting or unique musical elements or production techniques used in 'Rebirth?'

The songs sound so heavy because of the low tuning of the electric guitar, we used a drop A tuning, which was inspired by Korn, a band that uses this tuning very often. This is basically the lowest possible tuning for a 6 string electric guitar, lower than this it all just sounds like a mush.

What was the initial spark or idea that led to the creation of 'Rebirth?'

The spark was to try to create something deeply emotional and dark, trying to put mental health struggles into art. Basically as a form of self-therapy.

What is your personal favorite song from 'Rebirth?'

My personal favourite is probably the second song, “Until I Flip.” It’s the most disturbing piece of art I've ever created, the lyrics are so insane, and combined with the music I think it expresses the feeling of a mental breakdown.

What has been one of the most significant moments of your musical journey so far?

The producer behind the EP is Ábel Zwickl, one of the best and most successful sound-engineers in Hungary, working with him has been an absolute blessing.

What is your creative vision as a band?

Our vision is to first establish a local following here in Berlin, then expand from that foundation. Creatively speaking we'd like to stay in the melodic nu metal, groove metal genre, keep the music simple but very emotional and captivating.
