Project Twin On the Making Of “SI(GEMINI)”
What was the initial spark or idea that led to the creation of "SI(GEMINI)?"
"SI(GEMINI)" actually came together with the initial guitar progression. We were finishing up a session in the studio, getting ready to wrap up for the night & Spike had come up with the chord progression. I asked him to try to speed it up and make it more of a traditional flamenco style & the next day we did all the sound design & production while I (Ike) was getting tattooed.
What do you like the best about this track?
What I like the most about this track is it's really quite different. Both in our respective catalog, but also just as far as common alt-rock/indie rock goes, it's kind of pushing the boundaries. It's also a great story from start to finish lyrically.
Have you noticed any particular interpretations or connections that listeners have made with "SI(GEMINI)?"
Honestly, not a lot yet, we're just getting ready to package our debut EP. I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more interpretations of the song upon the release.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got started in music?
Spike & I are twin brothers, we've made music for the majority of our lives. It wasn't until this year we decided to start packaging our material together for release. Music was always a second language for both of us.
What role do you feel emotions play in your music, and how do you channel them into your performances?
Performances are everything to us. They have been in past projects, and with Project Twin it's definitely a forefront of our identity. Though we've yet to bless the stage with this project, I promise you that when we do, we'll leave it all out there for all of our listeners, friends, and newcomers. And be sure to make a fan out of everyone in the crowd.
