Artist Spotlight : Meet AURORA BY NOON

Can you tell us about the inspiration behind "In The Shelter Of Mother Earth" and the story it tells?

"In the Shelter of Mother Earth" was inspired by how we've seen climate change affecting our world. We wanted to show the beauty of nature—like mountains, oceans, and rivers—and also how human actions have harmed it.

The song is about feeling amazed by nature but also feeling sorry for the damage we've caused. It tells a story of environmental crisis, reminding us all to reconnect with and protect the Earth, as she's our safe place in tough times.

Can you talk about the recording and production process for this song?

The creation of “In the Shelter of Mother Earth,” and indeed the entire album, was uniquely influenced by the pandemic, as the musicians involved were spread across the globe.

We had to find innovative ways to collaborate, a challenge that many artists faced during this period. Each musician recorded their parts in their own home studio, and then these recordings, or 'stems,' were masterfully mixed together by our favorite studios, ATS Records and LW Sonics in Vienna.

This process not only shaped the way we worked but also brought a unique dimension to our music.

How does this song fit into your overall artistic vision?

Our song “In the Shelter of Mother Earth” aligns closely with our artistic vision, where we aim to not only tell stories through our music but also address pressing, contemporary issues.

This track, in particular, delves into the critical topic of environmental impact and climate change. It reflects our commitment to weaving narratives that resonate deeply and provoke thought about the world around us.

Through this approach, we strive to create music that is not only entertaining but also enlightening and meaningful.

How would you describe your musical style or genre?

Our musical style can best be described as a blend of classic rock infused with elements from modern rock and heavier genres. Growing up with music from the '90s and early '00s has significantly influenced our sound. We often receive feedback that our music reminds listeners of great bands from those decades.

While it wasn't intentional, we've naturally developed a style that melds various rock genres into a unique sound that feels both classic and fresh. This fusion allows us to pay homage to the past while still engaging with the current music scene.

Are there any specific themes or messages that you aim to convey through your music?

In our music, we aim to explore and convey a variety of themes, particularly those that resonate with our personal experiences and observations of the world.

Environmental awareness is a central theme, as evident in songs like “In the Shelter of Mother Earth,” where we discuss the impacts of climate change and our relationship with nature.

We also touch on themes of human connection, resilience, and the emotional landscapes of modern life.

Overall, our goal is to create music that not only entertains but also encourages listeners to reflect on these.
